The Personnel Committee may be considered the Human Resources Department of Alpha State. The committee addresses matters related to the employed personnel including the issuing of contracts and the monitoring of performance through evaluations. It makes recommendations concerning personnel policies to the Executive Committee and encourages good business practices. It is the responsibility of the committee to provide support for the employees, to keep the best people in the most useful positions and to offer the best working environment. Whenever a vacancy occurs in any of the employed positions, the committee advertises the position, screens the applicants, and recommends candidates to the Alpha State President who will seek Executive Board approval at the State Convention or by a mail/electronic vote.
