The Headquarters Committee became a standing committee at the 2007 Alpha State Convention. The committee is composed of five members plus the state president and executive secretary/treasurer. This committee oversees all maintenance for the building, approves all expenses related to the building, prepares a budget for building expenses for approval by the Finance Committee, determines the use of the building by members and chapters, establishes guidelines for the acceptance of gifts, receives Executive Committee approval before making changes in the building or accepting gifts, presents an annual headquarters operations report to the members of Alpha State and promotes public relations related to Headquarters. The committee works closely with the Personnel, Finance, Archives, and Technology Committees.
