Achievement Awards Committee
BACK

Alpha State strives to recognize members who have given outstanding service to Delta Kappa Gamma at the state level. The recognition is given in the form of the Alpha State Achievement Award and the Golden Rose Award. These awards are presented annually at the Birthday Luncheon during the Alpha State Convention. Each award has different criteria and a specific nomination form. It is the responsibility of the Achievement Awards Committee to review completed nominations and to select the recipients for each award.

In order to qualify for the Alpha State Achievement Award, a member must have served as a chapter president and completed two or more leadership roles at the state level. Additionally, the member should have been a workshop leader and have good attendance at area, state, regional and international meetings.

The Golden Rose Award is designated for those members who are not eligible for the Alpha State Achievement Award, but have given years of service at the state level through workshop participation, committee work and attendance at Delta Kappa Gamma conventions.

Members are urged to become familiar with the specific guidelines for each award as stated in the Official Manual. Completed nomination forms for both awards need to be mailed to the State Chairman of Achievement Awards by February 1st of each year.
